Based in our Netherlands office located in the Rivium in Capelle aan den IJssel, you will be part of our FLOW team of currently 7 enthusiastic professionals within the Portfolio Solutions department.

About The Role

Within this role you will be an integral part of the FLOW team. The Flow Team focuses on expanding our presence in the small and medium enterprises segment with quick and simple insurance solutions through insurance brokers and authorized agents (volmacht). We combine standardized products and a simplified application processes with product- and industry expertise.

You will focus on developing and growing both new and existing portfolio arrangements for our PI/Cyber business in the SME segment via our distribution partners.

How you will create an impact

• Your relationships with brokers will be key to your success. You will need to provide excellent service to brokers through a consistent, timely, and proactive approach to underwriting. You will also aim to generate new business by expanding your broker network, attending broker events, and building new relationships across the market – in line with a sales plan established with your manager.
• Contribute and be responsible for (a part of) FLOW growth target and provide accurate monthly management information including rationales behind submissions statistics, bind rate, average premium, and total premium.
• Continuously identify and develop best practices and procedures plus look for new ways to improve the service and product offering. And support in departmental product development efforts within the scope of AIG’s product development guidelines
• You will be responsible for assessing new and renewal business for your respective focus area.

What you’ll need to succeed

• Underwriting experience (minimum 5 years) in Financial Lines is required
• A good understanding of the Dutch Financial Lines marketplace
• Strong communication, networking and relationship building skills.
• Good organizational and time management skills.
• Customer and Sales orientated behaviours: motivated, tenacious, focused, technically skilled, proactive, and accountable.
