Role Description

  • Infrastructure Finance is currently hiring for an AVP role in the CFO Infrastructure Control and Governance team.
  • You will be joining a new high-profile team whose focus is on the governance of Infrastructure Cost Allocations processes, identifying & remediating control gaps, Audit Findings, & Self-Identified Issues (SIIs), supporting Group/Regional Tax with respect to critical Transfer Pricing issues, overseeing the Month-end Cost Close (MECC) and associated Clear-outs, supporting the annual TP Audits, producing a number of vital Control Reports to increase both the integrity & transparency of infrastructure cost allocations, whilst also identifying process automation opportunities to create capacity and better support the strategic agenda of the CFO Infrastructure Leadership Team.
  • The Control and Governance Team has become a critical workstream for the oversight of monthly Infrastructure Cost Allocations & Transfer Pricing, generating valuable Management Information (MI) and insights to help protect the Bank through the creation and maintenance of a robust governance framework and control environment, thereby strengthening engagements with key internal & external stakeholders such as Regional Tax Bodies, Regulators, Group Audit, Financial Control & Oversight, and our External Audit partner. This undertaking represents a key priority for the DB Group Chief Financial Officer and the function maintains a high profile across the bank.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Engagement with multiple internal & external stakeholders (e.g., Group Audit, Tax, Financial Control & Oversight, etc) to enforce a robust governance framework
  • Support the quarterly & annual DBCM Transfer Pricing Reporting requirements for Group Tax TP, including the delivery of the necessary Transparency Reports & Dashboards
  • Manage the execution of the Driver Based Cost Management (DBCM) Adjustment process (Note: DBCM is a strategic Allocation/TP platform encompassing a significant number of Infrastructure Service Providers), coordinating with the Infra COOs, Infra FDs, and the DBCM Modelling Team
  • Deliver Control Report enhancements in partnership with our stakeholders, business & operational partners managing the development lifecycle from requirements gathering through to production release  
  • Provide support to meet Internal & External Audit requirements as required.
  • Support the documentation of underlying processes and the formulation of the necessary Business Requirements Document (BRD) to drive longer-term strategic automation
  • Explore the use of innovative techniques to minimize manual processing needs where possible, leveraging tools such as Alteryx, Power BI, Power Query, etc.

Your skills and experience

  • CA / MBA (Finance) with 5-7 years of relevant work experience (Financial Services industry experience preferred), ideally in Cost Accounting and Transfer Pricing
  • Experience in working in a control environment, including interactions with Internal & External Audit Functions and other applicable stakeholders such as Tax, Compliance, etc
  • Capability to develop innovative solutions using tools such as Power BI, Alteryx
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills to understand concepts and efficiently assess current processes and make sense of numbers Experience in handling large data sets
  • Performing analytics and drawing insights from data
  • Strategic thinking and structured problem-solving skills to translate business concepts/needs into clear management communication and requirements for IT implementation partners
  • Experience of stakeholder management and strong communication skills; ability to tailor approach to role and seniority of stakeholder; well-versed in conflict identification and resolution
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint
