As a Senior Software Engineer Manager within PNC's Technology Group, you will be based in Pittsburgh-PA, Strongsville-OH, Birmingham-AL or Dallas, Texas.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Application Expert for the assigned application(s)
• Working Knowledge of Service Now
o Incidents – Review, obtain status, impact.
o Support Incidents escalated by SRC teams
o Attend customer impacting incidents war-room till resolution.
o Change Records -Review, approve according to application, release and Cab competencies.
o Review, update and approve Business Service Outages
o Review, update and approve security requests for non-human id
o Review, update and approve application portfolio and assignment groups.
o Review, update and approve firewalls.
• Demonstrate and maintain continuous improvement and preventative maintenance backlog.
• Implement those improvements that can be implemented without code changes.
• Work closely with CTB teams to improve portfolio health through continuous improvement.
• Work closely with the automation teams to identify and facilitate automation of support functions.
• Work closely with LOB teams to improve quality of service.
• Engage with CTB team members to understand the size, complexity, and breadth of upcoming production releases.
• Review change requests to ensure that quality of releases meet standards before implementation.
• Work with the Service Transition team Determine the transition needs for each release.
• Work with Change teams to implement transition and knowledge transfer activities.
• Work on multiple projects and tasks simultaneously and balance conflicting demands.
• Contributes to stable and secure environment, incident management, product health/patching, and the asset management lifecycle. May communicate with vendors, suppliers, and executive management to ensure availability of infrastructure technologies and support.
• Extensive knowledge to be able to suggest multiple alternative solutions to teams that involves best practices, development, and performance standards.
• Independently provide advice to resolves complex problems and issues involved.
• Monitor post-implementation stability and support effectiveness to help refine transition process.
• Places emphasis on quality improvement efforts; ensures that deliverables are secure, scalable, and reliable through estimation and correction.
• Communicates with customers and integrates their needs with development, to meet business objectives.
• Review requirements for completeness and accuracy.
• Adhere to all project management and departmental guidelines for the design, development, and promotion of solutions.
• Support the development and promotion of deliverables, including across technical teams where applicable.
• Manage and deliver tasks and deliverables, including across technical teams where applicable.
• Effectively communicate issues and statuses to the team, management, and our business partners.
• Demonstrated skill of effective communication with business and technical resources at all levels.
• Ability to coach, lead, mentor and inspire team members.
• Oversees the effective implementation and use of the configuration management process, methodology, tools, polices, procedures, and audit activities.
• Prepares technical and procedural documentation required for software.
• Anticipate, identify, track and resolve technical issues and risks affecting delivery.
• Coordinate and participate in structured peer reviews, performance evaluations for direct reports.
• Focus on customer service.
• Participate in problem management and automation activities to help reduce manual efforts and incidents.
• Prepares knowledge articles, SOPs and other technical and procedural documentation as needed.
• Work with one or more of these technologies:
o Mainframe (COBOL, CICS, DB2, IMS, JCL, VSAM, DXC- Hogan; IDS – Demand Deposit & Time Deposit, UMB, UMT.)
o Distribute (linux, Dynatrace, Vfass)
o Oracle, Teradata, Informatica (ETL)
o Filenet, adobe forms, Systemware, transmissions

Pay Transparency

Base Salary: $166,750.00 – $192,050.00Salaries may vary based on geographic location, market data and on individual skills, experience, and education. This role is incentive eligible with the payment based upon company, business and/or individual performance.
