Senior Technician – Quality Control Leadership Opportunity

Are you ready to lead a high-performing team in one of the UK’s most critical infrastructure environments?

We’re looking for a Senior Technician to take charge of our Quality Control team, overseeing the sampling and testing of Concrete, Asphalt, and Quarry products. This is a hands-on leadership role, combining technical expertise with team management across major national projects.

Your Impact

• Lead and supervise up to 10 Quality Control Technicians
• Ensure rigorous testing standards in line with British Standards and UKAS procedures
• Manage the day-to-day operations of the Whatley Laboratory
• Collaborate with Area and Regional Technical Managers to maintain excellence
• Support continuous improvement in product quality and customer satisfaction
• Proven leadership in a technical or laboratory setting
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• A commitment to quality, safety, and operational efficiency
• Experience in field testing and specimen preparation (Concrete, Asphalt, Quarry)
• Armed Forces Covenant (Silver), Disability Confident, STEM Ambassador Network
