Summary:

The Production Supervisor is a pivotal role responsible for maintaining high production, quality, and yields while ensuring the safest working environment possible. This position demands a comprehensive understanding and control of the production process, accurate record-keeping, and general line maintenance and staffing.

• Operational Oversight:

• Check daily production orders to ensure fulfillment of customer orders.
• Ensure every position is filled before the start-up of the production line.
• Oversee Team Member morning exercises and job rotation to facilitate ergonomics.
• Ensure all machinery is performing to the highest standard possible.
• Ensure all workstations have passed USDA Inspection.
• Promote safety daily and through monthly safety meetings.
• Ensure accurate shipments, rotation of inventory, and proper coding of products.
• Communicate company benefits and compensation policies to Team Members.
• Provide encouragement to Team Members to build the best team possible.
• Perform human relations functions such as training, retaining, and counseling on personal and professional problems.
• Oversee various processing operations and collaborate with other supervisors to solve problems.
• Keep records of reworked or returned products.
• Provide continuous education on the importance of quality.
• Perform other responsibilities as needed.

• High school diploma; education beyond high school including special training, vocational school, and/or college courses is preferred.
• Basic computer skills helpful.
• Strong communication skills.
• This position is responsible for supervising a group of personnel who perform somewhat identical and related tasks or activities.
• 1-5 trips per year.
