Location: Euro Central (Motherwell)

Would you like to manage a team providing direction and support to maximise productivity, quality and effectiveness.  In the role you will Develop and influence relevant policies for engineering aspects of the Transmission Business, in particular areas of Primary Plant and Auxiliary Plant.

This team is dedicated to small capital projects that keep our grid running effectively and efficiently, in a way that helps drive the UK to its target of Net Zero

What you’ll be doing

  • Provide robust engineering investment information to the Asset Manager for all areas of the Transmission Network.
  • Support the Transmission Operations Capital delivery programme with the development of robust Commercial and Delivery plans that can achieve out-performance targets.
  • Manage the close out and TECO process of team deliverables in SAP ensuring regulatory spend is captured correctly.
  • Provide financial forecasting to enable comprehensive business budget revisions.
  • Support the Transmission Operations Risk Management team with its strategic spares strategy to enable Emergency or Proactive repairs to the Network.
  • Manage the set up and introduction of a potentially new workstream, where Transmission Operations co-ordinate the interface requirements of certain Transmission contestable/directly connected customer connections.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with all departmental interfaces
  • Maintain a safety culture and ensures that all Safety Legislation is implemented on all activities.
  • Lead, Manage and report on the performance of you team

What You’Ll Bring

  • Significant working knowledge of Energy Networks policies, procedures and working practices.
  • Working knowledge of health, safety and environmental legislation.
  • Awareness of network development policies and procedures.
  • Developed customer service skills.
  • Knowledge of the network, business data and network management systems.
  • General commercial & regulatory awareness.
  • Developed negotiation, communication and people management skills.
  • Ability to devise solutions to complex problems/challenges.
  • Contract & SLA management and general commercial & regulatory awareness.
  • Working knowledge of SAP
