About This Opportunity:
Cenovus is seeking a Health and Safety Advisor for our Toledo Refinery. In this role, you will support the implementation and oversight of health and safety programs to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and company policies. You will play a key role in promoting and maintaining a strong safety culture among employees and contractors at the site.

What You’Ll Do:
- Serve as the first point of contact within the assigned area for H&S, Env or PSM questions/issues and drive resolution.
- Implement H&S, Env, or PSM performance improvement and compliance initiatives within assigned area.
- Support the incident management process (reporting, classification, investigation, corrective action implementation) of HSE incidents within assigned area.
- Perform LOD1 assurance activities within assigned areas (eg Control of Work and other related Field Audits)
- Coach field staff on HSE matters.
- Lead/support the implementation of new regulatory compliance requirements within assigned area (eg new OSHA standards, new permit requirements).
Who You Are:
- Legally authorized to work in the US
- 4+ years of HSE experience in a refinery, petrochemical plant, or similar high-risk industrial environment is required
- Post-secondary education or equivalent is required; a bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field is ideal.
