About The Team/Role
WEX Telematics is growing and seeking a Telematics Inside Sales Representative to join our team. This is a critical role where you will act as a "Trusted Adviser" for prospects and customers. You will be tasked with growing our small and mid-sized business by building upon an existing book of business through a pipeline of new opportunities. We apply a solution selling approach that starts with understanding the customer's core needs, then recommending one of our industry-leading telematics solutions to help them improve efficiency, increase safety, ensure compliance, and track sustainability initiatives. We will train the right individual on how to position and sell our products and services to existing WEX customers.
How you’ll make an impact
Sales & Customer Engagement:
- Work with potential customers to understand their challenges and goals related to fleet operations and position WEX Premium Telematics Services to provide an excellent customer experience.
- Use proven sales skills to negotiate and close contracts with existing and new customers to deliver on sales quota and targets.
- Manage existing customer business reorders, upsells, and renewals.
- Provide feedback on customer needs to improve solutions.
Knowledge & Expertise:
- Become a Subject Matter Expert with strong knowledge of best practices, industry trends, and the competitive landscape.
- Link telematics and associated products’ features and benefits to the potential clients' needs.
- Quickly learn new products and product upgrades to effectively position them to customers.
- Build cursory knowledge of other WEX products to support cross-selling/referrals.
- Cross Functional Collaboration & Internal Processes:
- Utilize Salesforce daily to maintain accurate records of all sales activities.
- Work closely with the WEX Telematics Customer Success Team to ensure post-sale activities are successful.
- Collaborate with other WEX sales teams to execute against referral opportunities.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with our vendor partners, collaborating with them as needed to successfully close customer deals.
- Support mentoring less experienced colleagues (if applicable) and share best practices across the team.
- 3 to 5 years sales experience.
- Associate's degree or bachelor's degree is a preferred qualification.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be proficient with Salesforce; knowledge of Google G Suite is also helpful.
- Previous experience with telematics, fleet management, fuel cards, or cloud-based applications is preferred.
- Base plus a commission role: $27-$35 per hour + Commission: On-Target Earnings (OTE) is $92,160+
