Roles And Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage teams responsible for technical accounting entries, cash allocations, premiums and claims payable, and underwriting data integrity
- Proven familiarity with reinsurance contract language and program structures, both proportional and non-proportional
- Collaborate with underwriting teams to ensure accurate and timely data capture for new and renewal business, and facilitate communication between underwriting, finance, and claims teams
- Support audit processes, financial reporting, and regulatory reporting for both finance and underwriting operations
- Provide guidance and support for processing financial transactions and underwriting data across a diverse portfolio of proportional and non-proportional reinsurance programs
- Administer and process underwriting data, including bordereaux management, cash, policy documentation, contract review, endorsements, and data integrity
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, regulatory requirements, and error detection/prevention for both financial and underwriting operations
- Drive process efficiencies and improvements in both finance and underwriting workflows
- Maintain effective verbal and written communications with brokers, underwriters and senior management
- Previous experience in managing a team for at least 5 years
- Insurance designation would be an asset
- Prior proven experience in projects related to process efficiencies
- Accounting designation or strong accounting background providing proven years of experience is preferred
- Proficient with MS Office Suite applications
