Role/ Department:

The RFP Team Manager plays a pivotal role in overseeing the end-to-end proposal process within Asset Servicing, ensuring the timely and high-quality delivery of responses to Requests for Proposals (RFPs), and Consultant Questionnaires.

This role involves strategic coordination across sales, subject matter experts (SMEs), and proposal writers, with responsibilities spanning team leadership, content oversight, technology enablement, and quality control. The manager sets expectations, ensures adherence to timelines, and ensures alignment with client requirements and internal governance standards. In addition to managing workloads and capacity across global teams, the RFP Team Manager oversees training, onboarding, and continuous improvement initiatives, while maintaining a strong focus on operational efficiency, compliance, and strategic alignment with business goals.

The key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Assigns tasks to the RFP specialists based on skillset and capacity. Organizes the work, sets short-term priorities, monitors all activity, and ensures timely and accurate completion of the work.
  • Shadow kick off calls and monitor internal timelines.
  • Reviews RFPs for accuracy and sales preferences.
  • Coach/mentor based on reviews/sales feedback.
  • Provides training to the RFP partners.
  • Help to guide career development discussions.
  • Oversees completion and/or coordinates RFP responses.
  • Assists in qualifying RFPs in light of the firm's product/service capabilities, account minimums and legal guidelines.
  • Oversees the development of request for proposals, providing input or completing the more technical or complex aspects of the proposals.
  • May be required to assist in completing larger more complex RFPs that may require additional research, analysis, creativity and judgment.
  • Ensures that the RFP database materials are kept updated and coordinates any customization of the materials for client presentations through team effectively using the established content review processes.
  • Interacts on an on-going basis with partners across Asset Servicing to obtain information on the products and services to support the sales efforts or to conduct research on requests for proposals.
  • Works on projects with the broader global RFP teams.
  • Manage weekly team meetings, developing bespoke agenda each week.
  • Participate in bi-weekly RFP management meetings.
  • Manages input into the performance management process and staffing decisions.

Skills/ Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience in sales or RFP, including financial services experience preferable.
  • Proven management experience desirable.
  • Knowledge of business unit products and services, and marketing concepts usually acquired through related work experience to respond to proposals and develop the marketing materials.
  • Tech savvy, AI friendly approach is needed.
  • Leadership and organizational skills are required to prioritize assignments and provide feedback to staff.
  • Risk awareness and attention to detail are key.
  • Project management, attention to detail, technical writing and organisational skills are critical.
