The Senior Financial Analyst – IT Capital Reporting will join the Capital and Productivity Reporting team within Northern Trust’s Finance Organization.

This role is responsible for enterprise-wide IT capital reporting and data management. The role delivers IT capital reporting for actuals, forecast, and plan across the enterprise. The role will partner with the Strategic Portfolio Management team to enhance and mature existing IT capital Power BI dashboards as defined by executives and other stakeholders.  In addition to monthly reporting, this position responds to ad-hoc requests from leadership and will be a key participant in developing and implementing process improvements. 

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver IT capital reporting monthly for the enterprise.
  • Manage and mature the IT capital data management structure.
  • Maintain the connectivity between the portfolio and project management tool and the end reporting delivery. Ensure technology standards are upheld.
  • Further develop reporting in Power BI.
  • Understand and articulate changes to the IT capital forecast as result of changes to project results.
  • Partner with the Strategic Portfolio Management team, businesses and functions in a consulting capacity in relation to IT capital analysis.
  • Prepare both planned and ad hoc reports for executives.
  • Identify automation opportunities in day-to-day responsibilities.
  • Partner with other team members on wider use cases, such as business case support.

Knowledge:

  • Able to critically analyze large quantities of data.
  • Attention to detail
  • Work as a team player.
  • 7+ years of experience in a data analysis role, preferably within the financial services industry.
  • Advanced Excel, Power BI, and data management skills are critical.
  • Self-starter with analytical skills to research and make recommendations.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to change.
  • Alteryx skills are desired.

Salary Range:

$83,100 - 141,300 USD

Salary range is a good faith estimate of base pay. Northern Trust provides a comprehensive benefits package including retirement benefits (401k and pension), health and welfare benefits (medical, dental, vision, spending accounts and disability), paid time off, parental and caregiver leave, life & accident insurance, and other voluntary and well-being benefits. Northern Trust also provides a discretionary bonus program that may include an equity component.
