Deputy Director, Data Office

[What the role is]

We're seeking a strategic product leader to drive our organisation's data initiatives across three key pillars: Strategy, Data Platform & Analytics, and Data Governance.

[What you will be working on]

• Strategic Leadership
• Lead the development and execution of our enterprise-wide data strategy
• Evaluate emerging technologies (including LLMs) and orchestrate pilot programmes
• Drive data-driven transformation across the organisation

Data Platform & Analytics Management

• Serve as the Product Owner for our in-house data analytics platform
• Lead product strategy, roadmap development, and feature prioritisation
• Oversee junior product managers and data scientists
• Drive platform adoption and usage across the organisation
• Enhance user experience for business users, data engineers, scientists, and analysts
• Collaborate with the Transformation Office to build internal data capabilities

Data Governance Leadership

• Establish and implement comprehensive data governance frameworks
• Oversee data modelling, metadata management, quality control, and master data management
• Design and deliver capability development programmes
• Provide strategic advisory support to data owners

[What we are looking for]

• Strategic thinker who can connect customer use cases to technology solutions and think holistically about the end-to-end experience
• Comfortable with qualitative and quantitative methods to improve product adoption (e.g. user research, design thinking, data analysis)
• A customer-focused mindset – you will be the number one champion of user needs
• Experience in product management, with track record of launching new product features and/or managing an evolving product portfolio
• Excellent teamwork skills; able to communicate and collaborate effectively
• Background in data platforms, data analytics, data management
