Pay Range
$23.65 - $35.50EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: High school diploma required. Medical Terminology course and Anatomy/Physiology Course with two years of ICD-9/10 coding experience preferred. Certification in Trauma Registry preferred.
LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, and/or REGISTRATION: N/A
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 1. Maintains a comprehensive listing of admitted trauma/burn/EGS patients through careful review of Emergency Department admission logs, Trauma Patient Report, and patient census. Ensures confidentiality of registry data.
- Ensures accuracy of Trauma/Burn/EGS Registry data. Participates in all inter-rater reliability and data validation activities.
- Maintains documentation of all registry activity.
- Provides data and reports to support trauma/burn/EGS research, education and associated activities.
- Maintains current knowledge of registry requirements through collaboration with peers and attendance at all required continuing education.
- Assists in other aspects of the HPMC Trauma Services Department as deemed appropriate by the Trauma Program Manager.
- Promotes a cooperative work environment by utilizing appropriate communication skills, interpersonal relationships and team building.
- Maintains personal responsibility for keeping informed about changes in policy/procedures.
- Participates in departmental educational offerings and staff meetings.
