Benefis Health System is recruiting an experienced nurse practitioner or physician assistant to establish Same Day Orthopedic Services in our Helena Specialty Center. 

Position Description:

• Full time opportunity, working Monday – Friday from 8:00 am – 5:00 pm, seeing walk in injuries and scheduled follow up appointments from a variety of situations including sports injuries, non-sports injuries, and workers compensation at our main multi-specialty facility. 
• Prevent, diagnose, and treat conditions such as arthritis or broken bones, repetitive motion injuries, such as tendonitis or tennis elbow, strains, sprains, and torn ligaments, tendons, and muscles. Additionally, the ideal candidate will have an in-depth understanding of sports-related joint injuries that affect the shoulders, elbows, hips, knees, and ankles. 
• Strong focus will be placed on offering conservative treatment modalities such as therapies, injections, and non-operative interventions. 
• Orthopedic surgeon partners are available in the building to see escalated referrals 
• X-Ray and CT onsite with access to MRI at another local Benefis location 
• Additional opportunity for future sports medicine growth may include sports physicals, training room clinics at local colleges and high schools, event coverage at local colleges and high schools, wrestling weight certifications, regional education and others, as they are presented and agreed open
