Position Summary:

The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for managing sales activities within a designated region, driving revenue growth, and ensuring customer satisfaction in waste & recycling management services. This position will lead a team of sales professionals, develop strategic sales plans, and build long-lasting client relationships while achieving sales targets. 

Primary Duties And Responsibilities:

  •  Develop and execute regional sales strategies to meet or exceed revenue and profitability goals. 
  •  Manage and mentor a team of sales representatives, providing guidance, training, and support. 
  •  Monitor sales performance metrics and adjust as needed to meet targets. 
  •   Set individual sales goals and track performance for team members. 
  •  Identify and target new business opportunities within the region, focusing on commercial, industrial, and municipal clients. 
  •  Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers, including facility managers, environmental managers, and business owners. 
  • Conduct market research to identify customer needs and trends within the waste management industry. 
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with clients. 
  • Act as the primary point of contact for major accounts and ensure their needs are met. 
  • Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts, and pipeline updates for senior management. 
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to adjust sales strategies as needed. 
  • Work closely with the operations team to ensure smooth service delivery and customer satisfaction. 
  • Participate in industry events, conferences, and trade shows to network and promote the company’s services. 

Job Qualifications

Education:

  • High School diploma or GED 
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, sales, marketing, environmental science, or a related field is a plus. 

Experience And Competencies:

  • At least 5-7 years of experience in sales, with a minimum of 2-3 years in a leadership or managerial role within the waste management, environmental, or related industries.   
  • Willingness to travel within the region as needed. 
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with diverse clients. 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
