  • Responsible for the county network and physical security policies are followed in relation to the infrastructure.
  • Ensures that the services provided deliver to the required SLA, in addition to working as third line support to the existing service desk.
  • Responsible for all aspects of the day to day running of the infrastructure including performance, capacity planning maintenance, receiving and responding to alerts.
  • Develops and maintains infrastructure documentation.
  • Participates in the evaluation, research and selection of appropriate technology products.
  • Services as a project manager and/or fulfills other project roles as required for designated projects
  • Works with business partners, IT personnel and vendors to identify, prioritize and resolve fit/gap issues between current and future software systems and technology solutions
  • Attends and participates in end-user training sessions for new software systems or other technology solutions
  • Works with I.T. personnel to obtain status for open requests from respective business partners.
  • Participates in activities and duties related to emergency management during a local state of disaster as directed by appropriate county managers.

Minimum Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, information systems or related field preferred.  High School/GED and 4 years of relevant professional experience in addition to 8 years required experience may be substituted for the Bachelor’s Degree.
  • 8 years Information Technology experience with at least 4 years technical experience in the deployment and/or support of infrastructure hardware and software.  5+ years’ experience in leading and managing a technical team.
  • Experience in programming network hardware, and project deployment. 
  • Strong project, research and team-based skills. 
  • Thorough knowledge of integration methodologies and evaluating system performance. 
  • Proficient skill in translating highly complex concepts for peers and customers. 
  • Advanced problem-solving ability.
  • Experience in managing daily interactions with service providers and third-party vendors. 
  • Experience in evaluating, designing and maintaining existing and future network solutions such as WAN, LAN and Wi-Fi. 
  • Experience with configuring network monitoring and management systems.  Enterprise Networking. 
  • Extensive experience with switching/routing, wireless, SD-WAN. 
  • Solid understanding of networking equipment such as Cisco, Juniper, HP/Aruba. Cisco experience is preferred; AV Design and Implementation:  Technical understanding of AV technologies, Video Conferencing and Live Streaming.  Solid understanding of AV technologies such as Crestron; Telephony and Unified Communications: Experience with Cisco Webex, Avaya, Ring Central, and Microsoft Teams; Experience with Call Center Solutions.  Cisco Unified Contact Center Express (UCCX) is preferred.
  • Network Certifications, Security Certifications preferred.

STARTING SALARY RANGE: $63.68 - $79.60 hourly based on qualifications
