As the Principal Technical Program Manager, you will drive the success of complex, cross-functional programs in the Digital and Cloud space, with a focus on delivering cloud-based SaaS solutions for our next generation ECG Management product. You will lead critical initiatives in a highly regulated healthcare environment. Roles And Responsibilities
- Overall responsibility for project success providing the engineering deliveries within time and budgetary constraints to continuously supporting DCAR products and the overall business strategy.
- Program Leadership and Cross-Functional Collaboration: Leads cross-functional and/or multi-disciplinary project planning, drives the team to generate trade-offs, identify and manage risks from the early planning phase, throughout the entire project execution. Manage milestones, timelines, and cross-functional coordination to meet performance, reliability, and security standards. Communicate complex technical concepts effectively to non-technical stakeholders and senior leadership, ensuring alignment on deliverables and driving accountability. Proactively identify resource needs, manage risks, and implement mitigation plans to adapt strategies and address challenges throughout the program lifecycle.
- Leverage Agile methodologies to manage sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives, ensuring timelines and technical debt are effectively managed while maintaining quality and iterative development efficiency.
- Works as an equal partner with the project team to deliver results, understands and openly supports all functional goals. Solves complex and ambiguous problems, leads the strategic and forward-thinking project execution
- SaaS Program Management: Lead the end-to-end delivery of SaaS products or cloud-based solutions, from conception to launch, with a focus on operationalizing and scaling the product. Oversee SaaS architecture and deployment, including multi-tenant models, microservices, and API management, in AWS cloud environments. Ensure seamless integration of subscription and billing systems, addressing their impact on revenue, customer retention, and growth.
- Cloud Program Management: Oversee cloud infrastructure supporting SaaS products, focusing on scalability, cost optimization, and service availability. Ensure robust security and compliance in cloud deployments, addressing concerns such as data protection, encryption, identity management, and adherence to standards like GDPR and SOC 2. Drive DevOps processes and maintain efficient CI/CD pipelines to enable rapid and reliable development cycles.
- Metrics, Monitoring, and Performance Optimization: Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for SaaS, including scalability, user engagement, uptime, retention, and revenue growth. Implement robust monitoring systems for cloud-based SaaS products, leading incident response efforts to address outages, performance issues, or bugs. Use data-driven insights and post-launch feedback to continuously refine products, driving iterative improvements and optimizing performance
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and 6+ or more years of program or project management experience; or an associate degree and minimum 8 years of program or project management experience.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience leading cross-functional teams.
- Proven experience managing cloud-based SaaS products, including infrastructure, scalability, deployment, and security, with a focus on program-level delivery and coordination.
- Demonstrated success leading large-scale, cross-functional programs across engineering, product, and other teams, with a track record of aligning business and technical stakeholders.
- Strong experience with Agile methodologies to manage programs effectively, including managing sprint planning, backlog grooming, and sprint retrospectives while ensuring that timelines and technical debt are managed properly.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to convey updates effectively and manage stakeholder expectations.
Desired Characteristics
- Experience working within the medical device or healthcare technology sector, with a thorough understanding of regulatory requirements
- Ability to balance tactical execution with aligning short-term program goals to long-term strategic objectives
- Knowledge of SaaS business models, subscription management, and recurring billing systems, as well as managing integrations with payment providers and understanding their implications on revenue, customer retention, and growth. Expertise with cloud platforms such as AWS.
- Understanding of the critical security concerns in cloud deployments, such as data protection, encryption, identity management, and compliance (e.g., GDPR, SOC 2), and work cross-functionally to implement these standards.
- Experience in managing the cloud infrastructure needed to support SaaS products, including scalability, cost management, and ensuring service availability. The TPM should be able to manage large, distributed cloud environments and work with engineers to optimize cloud resource usage and performance.
