The Boston-based Home Product team is seeking a Product Analyst who is excited to use data and analytics to solve real business challenges.  In this role you will translate complex data into actionable insights that drive growth, profitability, and innovation for our home insurance products.  You will gain hands-on experience in product management, underwriting, and pricing strategy while making a direct impact in a dynamic industry. 

Responsibilities

  • Support the team responsible for P&L performance, contributing to business growth and profit goals.
  • Conduct competitive research and analyze market intelligence to evaluate our position in the industry and recommend program enhancements.
  • Develop and refine business and underwriting strategies to drive financial results.
  • Lead the execution of value-add initiatives through cross-functional project teams.
  • Manage complex projects by leveraging available tools and data systems to identify, test and resolve business issues.
  • Provide analytical support for state filings and strategic initiatives, including building and supporting rate indications.
  • Act as a regulatory subject-matter expert, ensuring a thorough understanding of rates, rules, and policy language across markets to support compliance and business decisions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to strategically address their needs as they relate to the product.  This may include data requests, documentation reviews, and process improvement across marketing, customer service, finance, claims, and IT.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in a Business, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, or related field
  • 1 + year of prior Insurance or Casualty Experienced preferred 
  • Strong problem-solving skills   
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • High level of intellectual curiosity
  • Knowledge of data analytics tools – Excel, preferably including SQL, R, or Python
