Gaudenzia's Mission: Gaudenzia's Mission is to promote long-term recovery by providing comprehensive treatment and support to people with substance use disorder, co-occurring mental health disorders, and related conditions, regardless of individual circumstances.
Qualifications:
- Education: High School Diploma or GED
- Experience: Minimum of one (1) year experience in a Residential Behavioral Health Program Setting for individuals with a minimum of 60 college credits; applicants with a high school diploma or GED must have at least 3 years of Residential Behavioral Health Program Settings.
Your responsibilities in this role may include:
- Assist in the supervision and training of recovery support professionals.2. Support the development of daily scheduling for proper staff coverage during all shifts.3. Ensure the maintenance of an accurate daily census.4. Maintain driver's license and transport and act as escort for those clients who have medical appointments, or other business outside the facility (as approved by staff). Perform this function in a coordinated and timely manner.5. Screen client's personal belongings upon entry to the facility.6. Deny access to facility to unauthorized persons.7. Monitor client movement in and out of the facility and account for their whereabouts. Maintain and monitor client sign-out book.8. Oversee the coordination of chores, fresh air, and any other in-house activities based on the program's schedule.9. Coordinate, conduct, and document random client and room searches as directed by program director or designee.10. Facilitate approved client request slips including phone calls and visitation.11. Coordinate and document room searches and perform random searches of clients as directed by program supervisor.12. Monitor, where appropriate, clients taking their medications.13. Conduct client orientation sessions and seminars and complete client activity sheets in electronic health record system, as directed.14. Screen and process new admissions and their belongings.15. Monitor and document hourly runs and client movement in communication log.16. Conduct regular room checks to make sure clients are on floors or in their rooms per program schedule.17. Monitor urinalysis/ drug screening and breathalyzers, as directed.18. Monitor daily program activities in addition to meals and medication line.19. Communicate to nursing supervisor and nursing staff any medical needs that clients may have.20. Conduct weekly full facility safety/security checks to ensure building is free of hazards/risks. Conduct fire drills and maintain operational safety equipment (extinguishers, smoke detectors, first aid kits, Narcan availability, etc. ).21. Ensure vehicles are kept clean and complete weekly vehicle inspections.22. Ensure facility cleanliness and safety through the regular inspection of sanitation procedures, including pest control, the storage of supplies and clients' belongings, and submission of work orders for needed repairs.23. Ensure property maintenance relative to inclement weather, including shoveling, salting, and de-icing walkways and vehicles, as directed.24. Complete written reports and documentation, as required, including electronic incident reports, when needed.25. Aid in therapeutic community activities, as needed.26. Other duties as assigned by Program Director, or designee.27. Ability to interact effectively with clients and aid them in adjusting to their specific problems.
- Basic knowledge of substance use and mental health disorders.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.30. Ability to establish and maintain working relations with staff and other agencies, and the public.31. Ability to successfully work with others from various cultures and backgrounds.32. Valid driver's license and clean 3-Year driving record preferred.33. Ability to work various shifts.34. Basic computer skills, including ability to use Microsoft Outlook for email and Word and Excel.
