The Role

Hallett Laboratory is seeking an experienced Laboratory Technician with proven expertise in concrete testing. This role is ideal for candidates with established laboratory skills, industry knowledge, and the capability to hold or achieve NATA Level 3 status.

You will be working on a variety of projects, testing in accordance with Australian Standards, DPTI, NATA, Hallett, and customer requirements. This role is full-time, based at Dry Creek.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct and oversee concrete testing in strict accordance with Australian Standards and project requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with NATA accreditation requirements, including maintaining testing frequencies and documentation.
  • Provide accurate, timely feedback and reporting to the Technical Supervisor and Technical Manager.
  • Support continuous improvement in laboratory operations, safety, and quality standards.
  • Lead by example with excellent organisational skills, housekeeping, and attention to detail.

Qualifications / Personnel Attributes:

  • Proven experience in concrete/laboratory testing – minimum 1+ years strongly preferred.
  • NATA Level 3 status (or the demonstrated capability to achieve this).
  • Strong working knowledge of Australian Standards and test methods.
  • Physically fit and able to perform manual tasks safely.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Current Australian Driver’s Licence.
