Impact

We’re looking for a proactive and experienced Warehouse Supervisor (Night Shift) to oversee operations at our Rainham site. You’ll lead a team of warehouse operatives, ensuring all picking, packing, provisions and dispatch activities run smoothly and meet our high standards. This is a hands-on leadership role, ideal for someone with food or FMCG warehousing experience who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the night shift warehouse team, ensuring tasks are completed accurately and on time.
• Oversee picking, packing, labelling, and loading of customer orders, ensuring they meet quality and accuracy standards. Whilst being adept at using technology to manage traceability across the factory.
• Monitor and enforce cold chain compliance and food safety requirements at all times.
• Manage shift planning, resource allocation, and comprehensive and accurate handovers with day teams.
• Conduct quality and accuracy checks, addressing errors and non-conformances promptly.
• Maintain a safe working environment, ensuring compliance with Health & Safety and HACCP standards.
• Support the training and development of warehouse operatives to build skill and consistency.
• Collaborate with Production, Technical, and Operations teams to resolve issues quickly.
• Complete accurate shift records, reporting KPIs, incidents, and improvements to management.

About You

• Proven experience in a supervisory role within food manufacturing, FMCG, or a similar warehouse environment.
• Strong understanding of food safety, cold chain, and stock handling requirements.
• Able to lead a team in a busy, time-sensitive environment, balancing quality with speed.
• Organised, detail-focused, and confident in problem-solving under pressure.
• A strong communicator who can motivate and manage people effectively.
• Flexible, hands-on, and willing to go the extra mile to get the job done.
