Job Summary

The Partner Manager (Microsoft Surface) will act as the internal lead to champion CDW’s Microsoft Surface partnership and externally represent CDW with Microsoft across the UK and international markets. This role is responsible for driving revenue, profitability, and awareness of the Surface portfolio, ensuring CDW remains a key partner in Microsoft’s ecosystem.

What You Will Do

  • Act as the subject matter expert for Microsoft Surface, understanding its go-to-market strategy, product roadmap, and commercial programs such as deal registration, rebate structures, and incentive schemes.
  • Analyse industry trends and Surface market intelligence to identify sales opportunities and define growth strategies.
  • Develop and own joint go-to-market plans with Microsoft, aligning with CDW Sales and Technical teams, focusing on target customer segments, use cases, and value propositions.
  • Enable pre-sales and sales teams by delivering training on the Surface portfolio and ensuring alignment with Microsoft’s GTM strategy.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with Microsoft stakeholders, including executive-level decision makers, to strengthen CDW’s position as a preferred partner.
  • Communicate product launches, promotions, and financial incentives to maximise adoption and alignment with CDW’s business goals.
  • Achieve revenue growth, margin contribution (MDF), and strategic KPI targets for the Surface partnership.
  • Lead the annual business and marketing planning process with Microsoft Surface, identifying customer needs and shaping joint objectives.
  • Take ownership of Microsoft Surface certification and accreditation requirements (UK and International), supported by the Partner Accreditations Coordinator.
  • Carry out additional responsibilities or projects as directed by management.

What We Expect of You

  • Proven track record in partner, alliance, or sales management within the IT industry, ideally with experience in end-user computing or device partnerships.
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft’s channel structure, product strategies, and competitive landscape.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills across all levels, including executive stakeholders.
  • Strong planning, organisation, and reporting skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Commercially astute, able to translate Microsoft Surface technology into business value.
  • Confident in leading conversations about technology, even if not a technical expert.
  • Highly motivated, results-driven, and comfortable working to revenue and margin targets.
  • Strong negotiation, influencing, and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
  • Resilient and adaptable, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Team-oriented, with a positive and proactive approach.
