Job Description
Purpose of the role
To manage operations within a business area and maintain processes, risk management initiatives and compliance with relevant regulators.
Accountabilities
- Identification of trends and opportunities to improve areas and develop new process and procedures through the monitoring and analysis of operation data and performance metrices.
- Management of operations for a business area and promote efficient processes, risk management and compliance initiatives to support the bank's operations.
- Collaboration with internal stakeholders (including business leaders, project manager and SMEs) and external stakeholders (including vendors and service providers) to support business operations and promote alignment with the bank's objectives and SLAs.
- Management of operational professionals and provide guidance, coaching and support to improve colleagues' delivery quality.
- Management and development of KPIs to measure the effectiveness of operation functions, utilising data and technology to support the identification of areas that require improvement.
- Compliance with all regulatory requirements and internal policies related to customer experience.
- Creation of a safe environment for colleagues to speak up, actively and regularly encourage and solicit feedback to ensure people agenda remains focused on the right areas.
- Management of attrition by working closely with HR in implementing retention initiatives for work force.

Embark on a transformative journey as Corporate Payments - Vice President, where you'll spearhead the evolution of our Payments unit which is involved in handling transactions from corporate clients Barclays across Globe. It involves in facilitating customers for their Domestic and Cross Border requirements. You will be accountable for identifying, analyzing and resolving/implementing processing issues to prevent re-occurrence, reducing loss to the business. You'll need to work with Team Manager and take joint responsibility to control the workflow and ensure process efficiencies are achieved, team performance is optimized, Service Level Agreement are met by ensuring productivity and accuracy measures are in place. You need to provide support and cover in terms of process management to other Process Experts as required ensuring effective team working across the operation. Additionally, your role requires effective stakeholder management, leadership, and decision-making to support business strategy and risk management.
To be successful as a Corporate Payments - Vice President, you should have experience with:
- Understanding of local regulations and should be good in MS Excel and MS Word.
- Candidate as a People Leader, should be able to provide guidance to other team members/colleagues on the specific areas of expertise.
- Team Handling and Escalation handling ability.
- Workflow time management experience.
- Should have prior knowledge Doc scrutiny and had worked in operations set up.
- Strong knowledge in Cash Payment domain.
- Prior experience in Reconciliation activity.
- Ability data enter and check customer specific bespoke requirement from an old system to new system will be an added advantage.
- Strong written & verbal communication skills.
Shareholder Management Experience.
- Project management is required.
- Bachelor's degree is required.
Some good to have skills may include:
- Technical systems and procedure training experience.
- Indian corporate banking experience.
- Ability to complete or advise on completion of high volume routine/non-routine tasks and prioritize accordingly.
