The Service has 50 years of proud history, and operates from three bases in NSW (Tamworth, Belmont, Lismore) in addition to a Head Office and Deep Level Maintenance (DLM) facility based in Broadmeadow NSW. With a clear vision for our future – to be Australia’s leading Aeromedical and Rescue Service provider, we know the key to success is a motivated, trained, and empowered team operating within a culture of professionalism and accountability.
About The Position
Due to an internal retirement, an exciting opportunity is now available for a highly professional, enthusiastic and dynamic Operations Manager to join our Flying Operations team on a permanent basis. Reporting to our Head of Flying Operations and working closely with internal and external stakeholders across the Operations team, this role is responsible for maintaining current operational delivery in accordance with NSWA contract requirements. Maximising aircraft availability whilst overseeing operational compliance and delivering on regulatory reporting requirements, you will be the hub of communication and logistical planning between the customer, operational crew and engineering teams.
Based at our Head Office in Broadmeadow NSW, this role will, among a variety of tasks, see you:
- Establish and maintain strong stakeholder relationships at the highest level, serving as a central point of contact and coordination.
- Implement the weekly plan, seeking solutions, managing rosters and coordinating training and resource deployment, aimed at maximising efficiency and operational resilience.
- Engage with Engineering teams to respond to and minimise operational impacts of unscheduled maintenance.
- Ensure administrative and regulatory compliance through accurate record-keeping, audit, risk assessment and reporting.
About You
To be considered for this role, you will be an experienced operations professional, preferably within an aviation environment, with demonstrated success in emergency services, dispatch coordination or a similar role. Whilst not essential, tertiary qualifications in Aviation Management, Emergency Services or related field will be highly regarded.
Your ability to utilise interpersonal skills to develop and maintain critical relationships with key stakeholders, together with a proactive and systematic approach to organising activities and an ability to undertake multiple tasks simultaneously and autonomously, will ensure your success in this exciting role.
In return for your dedication and exemplary work ethic, you will enjoy a competitive remuneration and benefits package, a vibrant and rewarding workplace culture and access to industry leading flexibility and wellbeing programs.
