Team Leader - Kangaroo Island

The Team Leader role reports to our Regional Experience Manager and oversees smooth walk operations to deliver an exceptional guest experience. You’ll coordinate logistics, manage safety systems, guide training and support, food and guest service standards, and the upkeep of cottages and assets. You’ll also join our guides in leading four-day expeditions from Adelaide through highlights such as Platypus Waterholes, Maupertuis Bay and Remarkable Rocks.

Here'S What You’Ll Be Doing:

• Lead a team of guides, and lodge hosts, ensuring they are prepared and equipped for each trip
• Oversee logistics such as trip documentation, reporting, provisioning (including food ordering and stock management), asset upkeep (excellent condition and ready for use) and address maintenance issues by following established systems
• Ensure adherence to safety standards, environmental policies and operational procedures
• Provide ongoing coaching, mentoring, and training for your team, including managing the induction process for new team members
• Act as the checking balance in the guest experience by collecting and reviewing feedback
• Complete one guiding week every 4 to 5 weeks to stay grounded in the product and contribute to its ongoing development

What You’Ll Bring:

• Previous experience in tour operations, travel coordination, or a similar role
• Those with a travel/tourism background will be highly regarded
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organisational and time management abilities
• Relevant qualifications, including at least some of the following: Driver Licence, Wilderness First Aid (SISSS00140), Provide CPR (HLTAID009), Responsible Service of Alcohol (SITHFAB021), Use Hygienic Practices for Food Safety (SITXFSA005) and Participate in Safe Food Handling Practices (SITXFS006). While candidates may not have all qualifications at the time of application, a willingness to obtain them is essential.

Desirable: Large Rigid and Commercial Passenger Vehicle licences.
