Job Summary
Majesco is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Lead Software Analyst to join our Policy Administration team. This role requires deep expertise in Commercial Lines, with a strong focus on interpreting and implementing ISO rating and statistical plan circulars. The successful candidate will combine business analysis expertise with hands-on technical knowledge in Oracle and Java, contributing to requirements gathering, solution design, development, and validation activities. This is a hybrid position that bridges business and technical functions, supporting both product enhancements and client implementations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze and interpret ISO circulars, rating algorithms, and statistical plan manual rules to determine system impacts and requirements.
- Collaborate with product owners, clients, and implementation teams to gather, define, and translate business requirements into actionable technical specifications.
- Lead solution design sessions and provide guidance to cross-functional teams including product management, development, QA, and architecture.
- Manage ISO statistical plan error and validation processes to ensure compliance and accuracy in data capture and reporting.
- Support and guide development teams in implementing ISO updates and customer-specific enhancements.
- Design and support ETL processes for inbound and outbound data exchange (XML, ASCII flat files) with third-party systems.
- Prepare detailed technical specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
Perform Hands-On Development Tasks Including:
- Designing Oracle tables, views, and sequences
- Developing and enhancing PL/SQL packages, functions, and procedures
- Analyzing, debugging, and modifying PL/SQL code and Java classes
- Conduct unit testing and support QA teams throughout the validation process, ensuring quality across the full policy lifecycle (UI, Rating, Billing, Commissions, Statistical Reporting).
- Create and execute comprehensive test cases to ensure accuracy, compliance, and performance of delivered solutions.
Qualifications And Experience:
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in business or software analysis roles within the Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance domain, with specific focus on Commercial Lines.
- Strong working knowledge of ISO rating, ISO statistical plans, and compliance-related processes.
- Proven experience in interpreting ISO circulars and performing statistical plan validations and corrections.
Demonstrated Technical Experience With:
- ETL interfaces involving XML and flat file processing
- Oracle database technologies (PL/SQL, tables, views, sequences, packages, procedures)
- Reading, analyzing, and modifying Java classes used for backend processing
- Strong understanding of insurance rating, coverages, and the full policy lifecycle.
- Ability to translate complex insurance business requirements into clear, developer-ready specifications.
- Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills in PL/SQL and Java.
- Knowledge of system testing practices, QA lifecycle, and test case design.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with the Majesco Policy for P&C platform.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
- Exposure to DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Git, Jenkins, JIRA).

What Majesco Offers:
Majesco is committed to equal pay and transparency. The annual base salary range for this position is $95,000 to $125,000. Please note that the salary range information provided is a general guideline and combines all of the distinct labor markets within the US. It is uncommon for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on a variety of factors.
