Position  Title: Associate Director of Healthcare Administration, Dallas. 

Location: T. Boone Pickens Institute of Health Sciences – Dallas Center

Reports To: Director, Health Care Administration Program (Houston Campus)

Position Summary:
The Healthcare Industry Liaison will serve as a strategic connector between Texas Woman’s University’s Health Care Administration (HCA) Program and the healthcare industry. Based at the Dallas campus, this individual will leverage their deep experience and network in healthcare to enhance the program’s engagement with healthcare organizations, support curriculum innovation, and expand opportunities for student internships, career pathways, and faculty-industry collaboration. This is a non-tenure track administrative leadership role and does not require a doctoral degree or experience with CAHME accreditation processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Industry Engagement & External Relations

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with healthcare organizations in the Dallas-Fort Worth region and beyond.
  • Develop pipelines for student internships, and career placements.
  • Represent the HCA program at industry events, networking functions, and community initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities for faculty to engage in applied research, consulting, or project partnerships with healthcare industry stakeholders.
  • Serve as the program’s primary liaison to external partners in the healthcare field.

Program Development & Support

  • Collaborate with HCA faculty and the Program Director to develop and refine curriculum with industry input.
  • Stay current with healthcare trends and workforce needs to ensure program relevance and innovation.
  • Support planning and execution of professional development activities, immersion experiences, and employer engagement events.
  • Facilitate the involvement of healthcare leaders in guest lectures, panel discussions, and mentorship activities.
  • Teach face-to-face, hybrid, and online graduate courses in the HCA program (2-3 courses per semester). 

Student Success & Career Development

  • Work closely with students and alumni to expand access to career resources and networking opportunities.
  • Guide students in preparing for professional success through industry insights, resume review, and career readiness initiatives.
  • Partner with career services, alumni relations, and faculty to track outcomes and strengthen employer connections.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Public Health, or a closely related field.
  • Extensive professional experience and an active network within the healthcare industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and sustain relationships with healthcare executives, systems, providers, or associations.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Passion for enhancing student success and supporting faculty engagement with industry.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience working with graduate students or in an academic setting.
  • Knowledge of healthcare workforce trends and leadership development pathways.
  • Experience organizing professional development programs or external partnerships.

TWU’s CAHME-accredited Master of Healthcare Administration (MHA) program enrolls over 440 graduate students across the Dallas and Houston campuses.
