Equity Research Associate - Consumer (US)

Jefferies is seeking an equity research associate to join our team covering Consumer (Beverages, Consumer Products, Health & Wellness). Coverage areas include leading and emerging brands, suppliers, distributors, innovators, and retailers across the consumer landscape. 

Responsibilities Will Include:

• Conducting proprietary research evaluating the competitive landscape, analyzing industry news and company filings, attending conferences, and speaking with key opinion leaders
• Interfacing with company management teams, internal sales and trading personnel, and institutional investors
• Building and maintaining financial models and proprietary databases
• Writing research reports for initiations of coverage, analysis of data, and industry/company news
• Conceiving and executing on differentiated project ideas

Key Qualifications:

• 2+ years experience in equity research, investment banking, buyside or industry role
• Proficiency in written/verbal communication, and in managing financial & data models utilizing Excel
• Solid ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
• Interested in the industry topic area, with some degree of familiarity with the industry as analyst or consumer
• Motivated, creative, committed, detail-oriented, collaborative
• Aspiration to develop coverage independence over time

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range of $100,000 - $120,000.

The salary offered will take into consideration an individual’s experience level and qualifications.
