Embark on a journey within our Mauritian & Regional Corporates Business Unit. As part of Corporate and Institutional Banking SBU, this team is dedicated to building sustainable long-term partnerships with corporate clients both on the domestic market and in our presence countries. This role provides also exposure to regional corporates, cross-border needs, and the dynamic opportunities emerging in neighbouring markets. Any experience within Madagascar and Seychelles, whether through client coverage, deal structuring, or market exposure will be considered an added value. Familiarity with regional business practices, regulatory frameworks, and cultural contexts will enable the successful candidate to bring a differentiated perspective to our clients, positioning MCB as the partner of choice across the region.

Your responsibility will be to manage and develop a portfolio of customers by achieving assigned targets in line with set standards to grow its business value whilst mitigating risk.

In this role you will,        

  • Establish, maintain and enhance relationship with clients to develop opportunities in a variety of sectors, markets and countries, while contributing in structuring the most appropriate financial solutions for all the stakeholders;
  • Identify and develop new opportunities to cross-sell MCB products and services to existing and new customers to sustain business growth;
  • Work effectively within our team and engage promptly and collaborate with the other internal stakeholders on financing propositions for timely assessment of proposed deals;
  • Understand and interpret financial statements, identifying financing opportunities and associated risks, while proposing an appropriate structure and/or product best adapted to reflect the client’s and/or market situation;
  • Present findings and proposals concisely to the bank’s committees and articulate clearly to clients the proposed approach;
  • Effectively handle multiple priorities and providing solutions for a wide variety of requests and clients.

To succeed, you will be required to demonstrate the following competencies:

We are looking for a candidate who has a minimum of:

  • An undergraduate Degree in either one of the following fields: Finance, Accounting, Management, Banking, Mathematics, Economics or Business;
  • 5 years' experience within a financial institution, with demonstrated focus on financial analysis, client servicing and relationship management dealing with non-individual customers.

Or

  • 8 years’ experience within a financial institution, with demonstrated focus on financial analysis, client servicing and relationship management dealing with non-individual customers;

A combination of both qualification & experience will be considered.
