Tradesperson/Engineer - Holiday Inn Riverwalk - San Antonio, TX

We go above and beyond to keep our guests’ experiences on track. If you can fix it for our hotel to run smoothly, you could be the perfect match for our new Maintenance role. We currently have a Tradesperson/Engineer position available at the Holiday Inn Riverwalk - San Antonio, Texas.  

A little taste of your day-to-day

Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be:

Performs simple maintenance and cleaning duties in guest rooms, public areas and grounds of the hotel that do not require practical skill or knowledge of a trade.   

1. Repairing, replacing and refurbishing items around the hotel
2. Taking responsibility for the safety and cleanliness of areas inside and outside of the hotel
3. Following the preventative maintenance calendar and looking for new ways to improve our guests’ experiences 
4. Keeping your supervisor or duty manager in the loop with supply levels
5. Being ready to step up and take on extra duties when the team needs you
6. Perform other duties as necessary

What We Need From You:

Basic reading and writing skills 

This job requires ability to perform the following:

1. Carrying, lifting, pulling or pushing items weighing up to 100-300 pounds

• Frequently standing up and moving about the buildings and grounds
• Frequently handling objects and equipment  
• Frequently bending, stooping, kneeling

Other:

• Working knowledge of basic non-skilled maintenance tasks such as plunging toilets, changing light bulbs and replacing faucet washers.
• Working knowledge of lawn/plant care equipment and tools.
• Reading and writing abilities are utilized in order to document or record all tasks completed, to order supplies, to receive instructions for the day or to read equipment safety/repair manuals. 
• May be required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays.

The hourly pay rate for this role is $16.00.
