Senior Data Analyst (Freelance, Hungary)

We are supporting a large-scale IT Transformation Program and are looking for an experienced Freelance Data Analyst to join the project team.

Tasks

• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather reporting and data requirements, define KPIs, and identify data sources
• Analyze existing data structures and business processes to inform ERP design
• Map, migrate, and reconcile legacy data into the new ERP system
• Cleanse, standardize, enrich, and validate master data across domains (customers, vendors, materials, GL accounts, etc.)
• Design and develop dashboards and reports (e.g., Power BI, Infor EPM), including underlying data models and queries
• Ensure reporting accuracy by aligning master data, transformation logic, and governance rules
• Define and document data standards, business rules, and validation frameworks to support master data governance
• Test ERP and reporting outputs for accuracy, completeness, and usability
• Document reporting logic and provide user training on data usage and interpretation
• Support post–go-live activities by monitoring data quality, resolving issues, and driving continuous improvements

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in data analysis, ideally within ERP implementation projects
• Strong knowledge of master data management and data governance principles
• Proficiency in SQL and BI tools (e.g., Power BI)
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Infor) is a plus
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Additional expertise in ETL, data migration tools, and financial/supply chain data structures is an advantage
