GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Office of the Attorney General (OAG) is seeking a Victim Support Specialist to provide victim support work for the Address Confidentiality Program in the Crime Victim Services Division. Work involves maintaining filing system, data entry, disseminating information, handling correspondence and documents, and answering call center phone calls for the Address Confidentiality Program.

Essential Position Functions
- Mail processing for Address Confidentiality Program
- Answers ACP call center phone calls and may interpret or explain rules, regulations, policies, and procedures
- Receives and reviews forms and applications for completeness of information
- Performs data entry and routine mail
- May train section and division on confidentiality program
- Assist in the development of policies and procedures
- Performs related work as assigned
- Maintains relevant knowledge necessary to perform essential job functions
- Attends work regularly in compliance with agreed-upon work schedule
- Ensures security and confidentiality of sensitive and/or protected information
- Complies with all agency policies and procedures, including those pertaining to ethics and integrity
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Education: Graduation from high school or equivalent
- Experience: Two years of full-time experience working in the following (or closely related) fields: administrative support, customer service, clerical, general office experience; may substitute sixty hours from an accredited college or university
- Knowledge of general office practices and procedures
- Skill in handling multiple tasks, prioritizing, and meeting deadlines
- Skill in effective oral and written communication
- Skill in exercising sound judgment and effective decision making
- Skill in using a computer for word-processing and data entry/retrieval
- Skill in gathering and analyzing accurate and relevant information.
- Ability to type 35 wpm (Typing test to be submitted at time of interview)
- Ability to adhere to work schedules and follow procedures with respect to leave.
- Ability to pass criminal background check and be eligible for access to CJIS Systems
- Ability to receive and respond positively to constructive feedback
- Ability to work cooperatively with others in a professional office environment
- Ability to provide excellent customer service
- Ability to arrange for personal transportation for business-related travel
- Ability to work more than 40 hours as needed and in compliance with the FLSA
- Ability to work 8a.m. – 5p.m, Monday through Friday
- Ability to lift and relocate 30 lbs.
- Ability to travel (including overnight travel) up to 5%
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in document imaging and data entry
- Experience with Adobe Pro
- Other Language: Ability to proficiently read, write, and speak Spanish
