What We Need YOU To Do:
The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency wants you to be our newest administrative officer in the Division of Materials and Waste Management (DMWM), working at our Central Office in Columbus, Ohio.
You are at the heart of everything we do.
Ohio EPA is looking for a motivated, goal-oriented person to help our Central Office DMWM team stay on track!
In this role, you will plan, direct, and coordinate DMWM activities by overseeing statewide administrative support, including purchasing and clerical duties like handling the division’s record management and mail. You will support licensing and registration activities and oversee the division’s e-document ingestion and management to help guarantee the accuracy of metadata quality and searchability of ingested documents.
You’ll serve as the liaison with the Office of Human Resources for hiring, including onboarding and offboarding staff. You’ll supervise assigned staff and conduct performance reviews and develop Professional Development Plans to help resolve personnel issues while encouraging staff skills and career growth.
You are going to support division fees collection to ensure the accurate and timely submission of agency fees. You’ll also supervise staff to ensure completion of work commitments in accordance with agency and program policies and performance standards.

Qualifications
- 24 mos. exp. in administrative, management or supervisory position.
- OR completion of undergraduate core program in business or public administration or closely related area.
- OR equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment noted above.
