The Ohio Department of Commerce, in partnership with the State Medical Board of Ohio and the State of Ohio Pharmacy Board, is responsible for establishing the program. DCC is responsible for licensing and regulating cannabis testing laboratories. • Auditing tests performed by testing laboratories licensed by the Division of Cannabis Control for methodologies, procedures, and quality control.
  • Examining testing instrument data, logs, and records, and generating reports from data sets, validating for accuracy.
  • Analyzing data to identify patterns or trends and inconsistencies with the division’s standards.
  • Researching and documenting cannabis testing standards, methodologies, and best practices, recommending actionable solutions and insights impacting the division’s goals and objectives.
  • Crafting technical guidance for DCC’s licensed testing laboratories.
  • Providing scientific and technical advice necessary to assist with compliance inspections and investigations.
