Our VCS team supports private equity backed businesses and corporates who want to take an accelerated lens to performance improvement in delivering improvements to their cash & EBITDA position. We have a pragmatic approach helping businesses overcome challenges by supporting management (and owners, where appropriate) to drive sustainable operational change.
This could include drafting growth and improvement initiatives that translate into various types of business plans (strategic plan, turnaround plan, working capital / liquidity boost, transformation plans, business split) in which we assess upsides and risks from an independent perspective.
This is an opportunity to leverage your performance improvement and turnaround experience in a stimulating new environment. Our VCS – Restructuring practice is experiencing rapid growth and we now have multiple opportunities across the team to recruit high caliber delivery individuals with advanced business and financial modelling skills .
In a continuously evolving business environment where organisations need to make smart, quick and well-informed decisions based on quality analysis, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our Private Equity and corporate clients in solving complex business problems and providing key insights into business drivers and scenario analysis presented elegantly to enhance stakeholder presentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- driving robust financial analysis, including financial modelling (where key output is the integrated financial statements), to support the development of business forecasts, scenario and options analysis and covenant setting;
- designing and implementing of a cash flow forecasting model;
- supporting the day to day management of corporate turnaround and performance improvement (transformation projects), including liquidity, financing and capital structure processes. This may include leading the preparation of business plans, information packs and management presentations;
- assisting clients in assessing the value creation / performance improvement potential within their business, and developing action plans to deliver against performance improvement initiatives;
- working hands-on with management teams to get buy-in across the business and implement agreed initiatives within an accelerated timeframe to maximise value;
- elaborating a sound and meaningful story line based on the analyses carried out by the team;
- participating in interviews with industry experts, competitors, suppliers, customers, and management to gain deep insights into these areas;
- working with colleagues from our Advisory practice and the broader Deloitte network, the team provides our clients with a coherent overview of the business operations, performance gaps and the potential for rapid improvement;
- seeks challenges, and opportunities to build on own and teams’ strengths, develop new capabilities, learn from and share with others;
- operates as a brand ambassador to uphold Deloitte’s value proposition of high-quality and professionalism.
#Winningrequirements
- Bachelors’ Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Accounting, Engineering or other related disciplines;
- MBA or Master’s Degree in any of the above fields;
- ACA / ACCA/ CFA qualification (or equivalent) will be considered an advantage;
- 5-8 years relevant experience in a corporate environment or consulting firm;
- Excellent numeracy skills with keen attention to detail and the ability to absorb and analyse large amounts of data quickly;
- Ability to undertake and lead detailed financial/commercial analysis for inclusion in presentations and client reports;
- Excellent report writing and presentation skills;
- Very strong analytical skills and problem solving mindset are essential;
- Strong experience in Excel and/or other BI tools (Tableau, PowerBI etc.);
- Knowledge of Basic Accounting Concepts and Understanding of the accounting principles are essential;
- Strong financial modelling skills - ability to build a model that is easy to understand;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English & Greek;
- Willingness to learn and grow within a fast-paced environment;
- Military obligations fulfilled where applicable.
