Associates of Applied Science. Graduate of a CAAHEP-accredited ultrasound program. Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer • 3+ years of experience.

Licenses, Registrations Or Certifications

  • American Heart Association (BLS)
  • Any one of the following credentials:
  • American Registry for Diagnostic Sonography (RDMS- AB)
  • American Registry for Diagnostic Sonography (RDMS-MSKS)
  • American Registry for Diagnostic Sonography (RDMS- OB/GYN)
  • American Registry for Diagnostic Sonography (RDMS-PS)
  • American Registry for Diagnostic Sonography (RDMS- BR)
  • American Registry for Diagnostic Sonography (RDMS-RVT)
  • American Registry for Radiology Technologist (ARRT-VS)

Job Description:

The Diagnostic Ultrasound Technologist II position is an experienced technologist who completes a variety of routine to complex diagnostic ultrasound procedures to include common and special ultrasound exams of high difficulty. This position is a member of the direct patient care team and is fully competent in all aspects of ultrasound exams.  The Diagnostic Ultrasound Technologist II position serves as a mentor and trainer to the Ultrasound Technologist I and students. This position works independently by exercising sound judgment and executing above average clinical skills on challenging diagnostic procedures. The Diagnostic Ultrasound Technologist II position provides direct assistance to physicians with all diagnostic and special ultrasound procedures. This position delivers exceptional patient care and adheres to ultrasound exam standards and guidelines established by governing agencies to ensure optimal patient safety and customer service.

Job Duties:

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology is recruiting a PBL Diagnostic Ultrasound Tech II to provide assistance for our Principal Investigators’ (PI) research by conducting ultrasound evaluations for pre-clinical and clinical research. The job duties associated with this position would include:

  • Conducting US evaluations of subdermal implants or xenografts in animals or humans.
  • Conducting US evaluations of vaginal products and devices in animals or humans.
  • Assisting in US evaluations of the pelvic floor and reproductive tract in human subjects.
  • Performing or assisting with US guided biopsies or fluid aspiration.
  • Salary Range:
  • Commensurate with experience.
