Requirements

We are seeking an experienced Azure Data Architect with strong expertise in Databricks to design, implement, and optimize scalable cloud-based data solutions. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Azure data services, modern data architectures, data lakehouse concepts, and advanced analytics platforms. You will play a key role in shaping enterprise-wide data strategies, ensuring governance, and enabling data-driven decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

Design and implement end-to-end data architecture leveraging Azure services (Azure Data Lake, Synapse Analytics, Data Factory, Databricks, Cosmos DB, etc.).
Build and optimize data pipelines for batch and real-time ingestion, transformation, and processing using Databricks.
Define and enforce data modeling, data governance, and metadata management standards.
Collaborate with business stakeholders, data engineers, and data scientists to align architecture with organizational goals.
Implement scalable lakehouse solutions combining structured and unstructured data for analytics and AI/ML workloads.
Ensure performance, security, and compliance across all data solutions.
Provide technical leadership and best practices for Azure and Databricks adoption.
Conduct architecture reviews, capacity planning, and cost optimization on Azure.
10+ years of overall IT experience, with 5+ years in Data Architecture.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Strong expertise in Azure Data Services (Data Factory, Data Lake Gen2, Synapse, Event Hub, Functions, Logic Apps).
Proven hands-on experience with Azure Databricks (PySpark, Delta Lake, MLflow, Unity Catalog).
Strong understanding of data lakehouse, data mesh, and modern data architecture principles.
Proficiency in data modeling, ETL/ELT pipelines, and orchestration frameworks.
Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases (SQL Server, Cosmos DB, PostgreSQL, etc.).
Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD, Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using ARM, Terraform, or Bicep.
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
