Under general supervision, the Supply Planning Coordinator determines the quantity and order date for materials needed to meet the master production schedule or independent customer demand. This role involves expediting purchase or production orders, managing global stakeholders, and ensuring timely and accurate supply chain operations.

Key Responsibilities Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE)
  • Report any work-related injury, illness, incident, or hazard.
  • Comply with HSE standards, policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Engage in HSE training and initiatives.
Quality
  • Follow standard work, process documentation, and quality procedures.
  • Perform quality checks on material planning master data (e.g., lead time, order quantities).
  • Collaborate with Quality teams to disposition non-conforming material promptly.
Delivery
  • Initiate purchase and work orders to support demand plans.
  • Participate in allocation calls with sourcing managers, suppliers, and other Cummins entities.
  • Work with suppliers to reduce lead times and balance supply with demand.
  • Reposition excess inventory across locations with supporting demand.
  • Provide timely updates on inventory availability and backorder recovery.
  • Manage part change requests and ramp-up/ramp-down activities.
  • Reconcile order boards for critical suppliers and parts.
  • Support supplier improvement initiatives and document action items.
  • Take ownership of supplier schedules to meet customer needs.

Experience

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in supply chain or logistics preferred.
  • May require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
