Engineer 2, Electrical and Test Development

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

Provide detailed Engineering support in Electrical based product and test development in the field of Thermo Electric modules and Systems. Role includes knowledge and ability to work with both hardware and software enabling communication with suppliers, internal customers and product design Engineers, with emphasis on; part obsolesce, electrical design modification and documentation as well as hardware creation. Additionally, the role supports production and laboratory environments, with test equipment and creates basic programs to add automation to our aging manual testers, upgrading test software on obsolete test equipment that are a single point of failure, and integrating various electrical hardware schemes into manual test stations to allow for increased repeatability and reliability.

Education & Experience

• Minimum # yr. experience xxxx.
• BS/MS xxxxx or equivalent degree.

Skills

•    Bachelor’s Degree or Higher Degree in Electronic or Electronic and Communication. 
•    2+ years’ of related working experience in developing test systems, including hardware and software development.
•    Knowledge of ISO 9001
Knowledge of both Analog and Digital circuit design.
•    Experience in automation development tools, C, C#, Python...by Microsoft Visual Studio
•    Knowledge of firmware and PCBA
Experience in using Altium or Cadence for simple PCB creation
•    Knowledge of Agilent equipment or other measurement equipment.
Experience using an oscilloscope
•    Knowledge with QA-tools (GRR, Control Chart, Histogram, CP, CPK, Problem Solving,...)
•    Knowledge with documentation and ERP system (engineering change request, waiver/ deviation,...)
•    Experience with Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Email
•    Experience in Access database, SQL server.
•    Experience in software Altium or OrCad...  is a plus
