We are seeking a highly motivated and meticulous Cybersecurity Analyst to oversee and handle our global mock phishing campaigns. This role is important to strengthening our organization’s security posture by identifying vulnerabilities, increasing employee awareness, and reducing cybersecurity risks. The successful candidate will design, implement, and analyze phishing simulations, working closely with cross-functional teams to enhance our cybersecurity awareness program. This role will also contribute to fostering a strong security culture, ensuring that employees are equipped with the knowledge and behaviors needed to mitigate security threats.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Lead the planning, execution, and continuous improvement of global phishing simulation campaigns.
  • Work with the security team to identify top human risks and develop strategies to address them through behavior change and training.
  • Develop and handle phishing scenarios tailored to different user groups, ensuring relevance and efficiency.
  • Analyze simulation results, identify trends, and generate reports with actionable insights to improve user awareness and behavior.
  • Collaborate with other teams across IT, security, and HR to align phishing training with overall cybersecurity objectives.
  • Develop and refine phishing awareness content, including training materials and communication strategies, using multiple communication methods.
  • Evaluate the efficiency of recommendations for improving phishing simulations.
  • Promote a positive security culture via phishing programs that encourages employees to prioritize cybersecurity.
  • Structure and sustain the phishing awareness program as a long-term initiative, encouraging an institutionalized security mentality.
  • Ensure the security awareness phishing and social engineering program meets industry training regulations, standards, and compliance requirements.
  • Share data, past council presentation decks, and key insights to ensure a comprehensive understanding of program objectives.
  • Present phishing simulation and social engineering data at cybersecurity related councils. 
  • Train new team members on Proofpoint, including dashboard navigation, data interpretation, and template customization.
  • Encourage collaboration by scheduling regular meetings and hands-on learning sessions.
  • Allow colleagues to observe planning and execution, referencing Proofpoint materials and industry standards and include them in email chains with CIRT to improve their visibility and understanding of security operations.
  • Encourage direct engagement with CIRT members to bring ideas, insights, and guidelines.

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Organizational Behavior, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • 2+ years of experience in cybersecurity awareness, phishing simulations, security, or related fields.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into actionable recommendations.
  • Excellent communication and marketing skills to convey complex security concepts in an engaging and accessible manner.
  • Project management experience, able to plan and sustain an organization-wide security awareness program over the long term.
  • Ability to work together and establish partnerships across various areas, such as teams worldwide.
  • While extensive cybersecurity technical expertise is not required, being open to work with security teams and staying updated on the latest cybersecurity risks, threat actors, and attack techniques is encouraged.

Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:

  • Certifications such as SANS Security Awareness Professional (SSAP), CISSP, CISM, Security+, or credentials in Organizational Change, Marketing, Instructional Design, or Communications will be considered a plus.
  • Familiarity with adult learning theory, behavior change models, or instructional design frameworks such as ADDIE is a plus.
  • Familiarity with phishing simulation platforms (e.g., KnowBe4, Proofpoint, etc.).
