Responsibilities:

Move heavy supplies and equipment as directed.

Pull linen and trash daily.

Restock linen and cleaning supplies.

Routine manual labor such as dusting, mopping, sweeping, waxing, vacuuming, polishing, and simple operation of basic cleaning equipment.

Non-routine manual labor such as stripping, buffing, and refinishing floors, window washing, waste receptacle washing, carpet shampooing, and moving of furniture.

Other duties as assigned.

Work Area

High-rise hotel and atrium, laundry room, storage area, and public area. Casino environment exposed to different temperatures, bright and dim lights, excessive noise, dust, fumes, smoke and cleaning chemicals.  Use of elevator and stairs required.  

Physical Requirements

Standing                     30%

Lifting                         10%  (overhead arms length up to 30 lbs. from waist)

Walking/Climbing       35%

Pushing/Pulling          25%  (up to 150 lbs.)

Educational Requirements

High school diploma or GED equivalent.  

One year experience in janitorial service or high volume hotel housekeeping department preferred. 

Skills, Knowledge, And Abilities

Must be able to read, write, and understand simple instructions. Possess good oral communications skills. Must be able to use standard house cleaning equipment. Knowledgeable of Innkeepers Laws, OSHA regulations, and local Health Department standards.  Must be able to perform assigned job duties under frequent time pressure in an interruptive environment.
