This is a key position within our business; we are looking for the right individual to help grow our Business Analysis capability across our i3works business.

We are looking for Business Analyst to deliver for our clients and help shape our capability offering across the i3Works business.
The work will be varied, stretching and you will have the chance to shape decisions that will have significant strategic influence on the business and our clients’ businesses. You will lead, guide and influence stakeholders and teams using effective communication, and utilisation of your discipline to the agreed delivery strategy. This is an outward-facing role requiring effective leadership and stakeholder engagement together with well-developed collaborative working practices.
Role Summary:
As a dynamic, purposeful and supportive Business Analyst (BA) at i3Works, your primary role will be to bridge the gap between business needs and technical solutions. You will be an integral part of our diverse and growing digital team, leveraging your analytical skills to directly contribute to our objectives. Your expertise in transforming data into actionable insights will be crucial in enabling intelligence-driven decision-making.
You will collaborate with clients to identify requirements, clarify uncertainties, resolve issues, and guide them through the digital service development lifecycle using data-driven decision-making. Your experience with various elicitation methods will allow you to advise your team on the best approach for each stakeholder and scenario. As you progress, you will have the opportunity to enhance your skills and manage relationships with senior stakeholders, becoming a leading figure within the BA community.
In this role, you will be expected to use your judgment and creativity to tackle complex and varied issues, even in the absence of clear guidance or precedent. Your strong interpersonal skills will be essential in consulting with colleagues at all levels, including senior managers, to solve problems and make effective business modelling decisions.
Core Skills:
- Demonstrable experience as a Business Analyst
- Agile working: able to identify and compare the best processes or delivery methods, measure and evaluate outcomes, and help the team decide the best approach
- Ability to help teams manage and visualise outcomes, prioritise work, and work towards agreed minimum viable products (MVP), sprints, and scopes
- Investigate problems and analyse options for new and existing services, providing recommendations for solutions and working with stakeholders to identify objectives, opportunities, and potential benefits
- Responsible for elicitation of requirements, facilitating the setting of business priorities for medium complexity change initiatives, and managing requests for changes to baseline requirements
- Ability to analyse current processes, identify opportunities for optimisation, and implement improvements using relevant techniques such as gap analysis
- Ability to apply a digital understanding to your work, identifying and implementing solutions for assisted digital
- Awareness of innovation and the ability to apply it to your work
- The suitable candidate already holds, or will be expected to achieve, National Security Vetting to Security Check standard
Desirable:
- Experience working with GDS frameworks
- Experience with data management, data visualisation technologies, or data tooling would be highly advantageous
- Equivalent Business Analysis and/or Agile certification(s) (e.g. Agile BA, APM, Scrum Master / Product Owner, etc.)
- Experience working in a multi-disciplinary team
- Experience managing stakeholders at all levels
Role Location:
Our consultants are expected to work in a hybrid environment, in accordance with our clients. We require our people to be within an easily commutable distance of our Bristol office and to be able to co-locate at our client locations, which are typically 50 miles of Bristol or along the M4 corridor. New clients are always coming on board, and we require our consultants to be able to work flexibly and wherever this work requires.
