Our role in Discover Data Science is to partner cross-functionally to solve the mission with a data-informed strategy, identifying opportunities and accelerating execution. The Discover DS Personalization and Quality team is a group of data scientists who work closely with engineers, product managers, and UX researchers.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $141,000-$202,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
- Work with large, complex data sets and solve difficult, non-routine analysis problems, applying advanced analytical methods as needed. Conduct end-to-end analysis that includes data gathering and requirements specification, processing, analysis, ongoing deliverables, and presentations.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of Google data structures and metrics, advocating for changes where needed for both product development and business strategy.
- Define metrics and measurement techniques, assessing applicability and making recommendations on the use of these techniques and on the interpretation of results.
- Interact cross-functionally with SWE, PM, and UXR partners. Work closely with engineers to identify opportunities for design and assess improvements to our products.
- Make business recommendations with effective presentations of findings at multiple levels of stakeholders through visual displays of quantitative information.
