Job Duties

To ensure proper handling of fiscal transactions according to policies, procedures, and generally accepted accounting principles; to ensure the integrity of the fiscal system through inventories, reconciliation, and reporting procedures; and in Compliance with the Commonwealth’s “Prompt Pay Act”.

• Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and practices including cost
accounting.
• Knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid regulations / procedures for compilation of annual
cost reimbursement reports.
• Organizational skills
• Data analytic skills
• Ability to prepare financial reports and statements.
• Knowledge of integrated financial systems, coding tables, and data entry into multiple
modules of those systems are essential to this position.
• Ability to design and maintain statistical spreadsheets

Minimum Qualifications

* Fiscal experience required
* High School degree or equivalent required

Additional Considerations

*Strong Excel Skills
*Experience in General Ledger reconciliations
*Experience and Knowledge of Medical Cost Accounting
*Experience in automated office setting, with cash-handling responsibilities preferred.
*Experience in Cost Accounting or healthcare reimbursement with emphasis on
automated, integrated systems preferred.
