Description
Rausch Companies is seeking an experienced and forward-thinking IT Manager to lead the company’s technology operations and infrastructure across all business units. This role will oversee IT systems, staff, and vendors while ensuring secure, reliable, and efficient technology support for our growing organization. The IT Manager will play a pivotal role in aligning IT strategy with business objectives, implementing best practices, and ensuring a superior user experience for all employees.
This is a hands-on management position requiring both leadership and technical expertise.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Leadership & Strategy
- Lead and mentor the IT support and systems team, fostering a collaborative and customer-focused culture.
- Develop and maintain IT standard operating procedures (SOPs) and ensure compliance with industry best practices.
- Partner with leadership to plan, budget, and execute IT initiatives aligned with company growth and innovation goals.
IT Operations & Support
- Oversee IT service delivery, ensuring timely resolution of helpdesk tickets and effective communication with staff.
- Manage new hire onboarding, including credential setup, security access, and device imaging (laptops, iPads, iPhones).
- Maintain IT asset inventory, licensing, and procurement.
Systems Administration & Security
- Administer Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and Group Policy.
- Manage endpoint security tools (e.g., ESET) including deployment, monitoring, and incident response.
- Ensure secure connectivity through VPN solutions (e.g., SonicWall) and support remote access technologies.
- Implement, test, and monitor cybersecurity measures, including phishing prevention and incident remediation.
Infrastructure Management
- Oversee PC/LAN systems, system updates, and networking (LAN, DNS, TCP/IP, Wi-Fi).
- Manage vendor relationships for hardware, software, and service contracts.
- Lead IT-related projects including upgrades, migrations, and new technology rollouts.
Requirements
- 5+ years of progressive IT experience, including at least 2+ years in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Strong expertise with Windows OS (Win10, Win11), PC hardware (HP/Dell), and mobile device support (iPhones, iPads).
- Proven ability to manage user accounts and organizational units via Active Directory.
- Experience administering Microsoft 365 and related cloud services.
- Solid understanding of cybersecurity best practices and endpoint protection tools.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple high-priority initiatives.
- Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Professional certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, MCP, or equivalent.
- Hands-on experience with enterprise networking and remote access tools.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure, Entra ID, and Intune is preferred.
- Prior experience in a fast-paced, multi-location organization.
Physical Demands
- Lifting up to 20 pounds occasionally and frequently moving small objects
- Frequently sitting for long periods of time
- Walking or standing occasionally
- This position works mostly indoors going outdoors may be frequently required
- Must have manual use of hands and vision to use computer constantly
