Director of Student Services Description

The Director of Student Services is responsible for direction and management of student services at the South College Nashville Campus in Nashville, TN. 

Responsibilities

• Supervision of student advisors.
• Title IX coordination.
• Disability services administration.
• Orientation coordination.
• Development and coordination of student organizations.
• Oversight of student publications and communication.
• Serves as an advocate and resource for students.
• Coordinates and facilitates student activities and workshops that benefit the student’s academic goals.

Requirements

Education

• Master’s Degree - Preferred

Experience

• Minimum of three to five years professional experience working in higher education
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Preferred Skills

• Ability to hire and supervise staff effectively and the capability to problem-solve and work independently.
• Strong organizational and technology skills, and a willingness to adapt to changing assignments, multiple priorities, and deadlines.
• Collaboration and the capacity to build strong relationships with campus leadership, faculty, staff, and students to develop and implement effective student success and retention strategies.
