We are seeking an experienced and innovative Workday Financials Technical Product Manager to lead the team responsible for designing and delivering new enhancements to our Workday Financials platform. This role is central to ensuring that our Workday environment evolves to meet changing business needs. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical expertise in Workday Financials with proven leadership skills, enabling the team to deliver high-quality enhancements that drive measurable business value.
The role requires working core hours aligned to Eastern Standard Time (EST).
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a team of Workday developers and analysts focused on designing, building, testing, and deploying new enhancements to Workday Financials.
- Partner with Finance and Technology stakeholders across global time zones to gather requirements, translate them into technical solutions, and prioritize enhancement requests.
- Manage the enhancement backlog, balancing strategic initiatives with quick wins that improve business operations.
- Direct and mentor developers, ensuring high-quality deliverables through code reviews, configuration oversight, and coaching.
- Ensure enhancements are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned to business priorities.
- Coordinate the adoption of new features released by Workday, identifying opportunities to incorporate them into the platform.
- Promote innovation by leveraging cloud-native practices, automation, and AI to deliver smarter solutions.
- Document designs, configurations, and best practices to ensure knowledge sharing and long-term maintainability.
- Provide clear, solution-focused communication with stakeholders, ensuring users are informed, supported, and delighted by enhancements.
Qualifications
- 9+years of relevant work experience.
- Strong understanding of Workday Financials modules (e.g., General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Expenses, Procurement).
- Hands-on experience with Workday configuration tasks (e.g., business processes, security roles, reporting, tenant setup).
- Technical proficiency in Workday integrations and reporting tools (EIBs, Core Connectors, Studio, calculated fields).
- Proven experience leading the delivery of Workday enhancements or similar ERP improvements.
- Demonstrated leadership skills, with experience managing and mentoring developers and analysts.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to balance technical feasibility and business priorities.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Ability to work core hours in Eastern Standard Time (EST).
- Cloud-native orientation and experience working with cloud-based technologies and integration platforms.
- Proven track record of driving innovation and introducing new ideas, tools, or processes that enhance system capabilities.
- Familiarity with AI and automation technologies and their application to solution design.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Familiarity with Azure integration technologies (Logic Apps, Functions, Data Factory, Service Bus).
- Experience working in Agile or iterative delivery environments.
- Knowledge of Workday release management and the ability to plan adoption of new features.
- Exposure to cloud-native development practices and AI-enhanced reporting or analytics.
