What is a Legal Tech Summer Clerkship?
A paid, full-time internship (Auckland or Wellington based) offering the chance to work behind the scenes of the legal tech and content that students, academics and legal professionals around the world rely on.

The engagement will be for full-time for approximately 3 months, commencing in mid-November 2025.

Who might I be working with?

• Content Team, who manage the authoring and publication of all our books, journals and online reference materials.
• UX Team, responsible for the user experience of our suite of legal tech products and tools.
• Agile project teams - focusing on key business strategies
• In-House Legal - taking care of the legal needs of our teams

What will I be involved in?

• Be an active member of your team and support ongoing projects.
• Assist in legal research and analysis.
• Engage with our Rule of Law and Access to Justice programmes.
• Assist in product testing, including engaging with AI and other emerging legal technologies.
• Design and deliver (with support) your own project. 

What will I learn?

• How concepts like agile working and design thinking can be applied day-to-day.
• How Te Tiriti o Waitangi and Tikanga shape our thinking and legal landscape.
• An understanding of how a global business operates.
• Insights into the New Zealand, Pacific and Global legal profession.
• A deeper understanding of legal research tools.
