Are you ready to lead and inspire a high-performing team in the dynamic world of virtual home lending? We’re looking for a passionate leader to take on the role of Manager Virtual Home Lending within our Consumer Bank & Wealth team.
In this role, you’ll be at the forefront of growing our home loan portfolio through digital channels, referrals, and appointments. You’ll lead a team of Home Lending Specialists, creating an environment where excellence, collaboration, and customer-centricity are at the heart of everything you do. Your focus will be on driving new home lending growth while nurturing strong, lasting relationships with our existing customers.
You’ll be responsible for overseeing your team’s performance, providing coaching and development to enhance both technical and interpersonal skills. Your deep expertise in the property market, regulatory frameworks, and Westpac NZ’s products and services will enable you to support your team in delivering tailored solutions for a diverse range of customers—from first-home buyers to investors and those with more complex lending needs.
Success in this role will come from your proactive approach to pipeline management, your understanding of market trends, and your commitment to exceptional service standards. You’ll play a pivotal part in achieving business growth, strengthening customer loyalty, and fostering a culture where your team feels engaged and empowered. Building strong relationships across the wider business will be key, ensuring alignment on strategic objectives and seamless integration of customer and business needs throughout the lending journey.
Nā tāu rourou | What will you bring?
- 5+ years’ experience in residential home lending, with comprehensive knowledge of complex lending combined with a Level 5 Residential Lending Qualification
- Experience with small business financials and a tech-savvy, growth mindset are essential
- Proven leadership with commercial acumen, and data-driven decision-making.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and coaching skills.
- High ethical standards, strong organisational skills, and a passion for delivering positive outcomes for both customers and Westpac NZ.
