Senior Manager / Manager, Cloud & Generative AI Engineer

Job Purpose

Oversees cloud architecture, microservices operations, and GenAI innovation across multi-cloud environments to drive secure, scalable infrastructure and responsible AI adoption for banking workloads.

 

This role leads cloud architecture and engineering across AWS and Tencent Cloud, driving secure, scalable, and compliant infrastructure solutions for banking workloads. It oversees microservices administration, GenAI innovation, and AI platform engineering, ensuring operational efficiency, responsible AI adoption, and continuous improvement. The position also serves as a technology thought leader, engaging stakeholders and evaluating emerging solutions for strategic impact.

Main Responsibilities

Cloud Architecture & Engineering (AWS & Tencent Cloud): ​

• Architect and implement secure, scalable, and resilient cloud solutions using AWS and Tencent Cloud, aligned with banking compliance and regulatory standards. ​
• Lead cloud migration, hybrid cloud integration, and infrastructure modernization initiatives. ​
• Optimize cloud cost, performance, and governance across multi-cloud environments. ​ 
• Manage and support microservices-based architectures deployed in cloud and on-premises environments.
• Ensure reliable service communication, scalability, and fault isolation across distributed systems.
• Utilize container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes to maintain high operational efficiency and service reliability.
• Collaborate with development and DevOps teams to implement CI/CD pipelines and monitor microservices performance.
• Ensure timely patching and upgrading of microservices to maintain security, stability, and vendor support. 
• Generative AI Innovation in Banking​

​Microservices Administration:

Design and deploy GenAI models for banking-specific use cases such as:​

• Intelligent customer service (chatbots, virtual assistants).​
• Automated document processing (KYC, loan applications).​
• Fraud detection and anomaly analysis.​
• Personalized financial advisory and product recommendations.​
• Collaborate with data governance, cybersecurity, and business teams to ensure responsible AI adoption and integration.
• AI Platform Engineering & Mops:​
• Build and manage Genial pipelines using tools like Amazon Bedrock, Tencent Cloud TI-ONE, and open-source frameworks. ​
• Implement Mops practices for model lifecycle management, monitoring, and continuous improvement. ​
• Ensure data privacy, model explain ability, and ethical AI governance.

​Innovation Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement:​

• Serve as a thought leader in cloud and GenAI technologies within the banking domain. ​
• Evaluate emerging technologies and vendors for strategic fit and innovation potential. ​
• Present technical solutions and business impact to senior stakeholders and regulators.

Requirements

Education And Qualification:

• A bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field is often preferred.

Work Experience:

• For Senior Manager role: Minimum of 8–10 years of experience in cloud architecture, AI, and microservices administration.
• For Manager role: Minimum of 5–8 years of experience in cloud architecture, AI, and microservices administration.

Technical Skills:

• Proven expertise in AWS and Tencent Cloud, including cloud migration, hybrid integration, and cost optimization.
• Hands-on experience managing microservices in both cloud and on-premise. environments, including Kubernetes orchestration and CI/CD pipeline integration.
• Strong understanding of Generative AI platforms, model lifecycle management, and ethical AI governance.
